25+, time to work on our complexion

The earlier we start to attack signs of ageing, the later our wrinkles will settle in! So it's wise to start our beauty routine in our twenties. We should not only moisturise but also prevent wrinkles from cropping up in the first place - usually ten or so years later when the deeper layers of our skin begin to change. Between 30 and 40, time to tackle signs of ageing

It's during our thirties that our skin begins to visibly change. Our metabolism slows down, cell renewal is less efficient and we begin to produce less collagen. Between 40 and 50, time to correct signs of ageing with a beauty routine

Our wrinkles have deepened, our features have begun to sag, our skin may look thin and sallow, whilst liver spots may have appeared. We need to keep up our preemptive strikes, whilst dealing with matters in hand. Apply an anti ageing cream morning and night: day creams should contain an SPF and use a richer formula in the evening. You should also invest in a serum, as they are twice as concentrated in active ingredients than creams.

60+, time to get back our glow

At this age, our skin continues to thin and lose density. It gets drier, more fragile and loses its rosy glow. Our skin's supporting fibres become frail, making our skin sag.
